[평가] Forbes, 2007 안전한 패밀리카 구경하기 - VIDEO 자동차 시장은

포브스가 선정한 안전한 패밀리카들의 리뷰 비디오를 모아봤다.

Forbes가 미국 내 가장 안전한 가족용 차로 뽑은 15대 중 4대가 현대와 기아다. 지극한 노력의 결과다. 축하할 일이다. 아쉬운 건 이런 노력의 산물이 한국시장에서는 아직 여물지 않았다는 거다. Forbes의 안전한 차 선정기준을 살펴 보면 이유를 알 수 있다. 이런 기준을 충족하는 국내 내수용은 최고급에 한정되고 있기 때문이다. 국내 자동차소비자들에겐 미국소비자들에게 제공되는 가격도 안전도 아직은 꿈이다. 국내 소비자들도 누구나 이런 안전품질을 누릴 수 있는 시기가 빨리 왔으면 좋겠다. 어찌 되었건, 그 안전하다는 차들 구경이나 하자.

01. Kia Sedona 기아 세도나(그랜드카니발)
The affordably priced Sedona is offered in either manageable short-wheelbase (SWB) or roomy long-wheelbase (LWB) models, and comes with standard stability control and full-length side-curtain airbags.

02. Honda Pilot
The Pilot is one of the most manageably sized vehicles, with a third row of seating. side-curtain airbags are standard and cover all three rows, and three-point seat belts are used for all eight seating positions.

03. Ford Taurus X
Formerly known as the Freestyle, the Taurus X is available with front- or all-wheel drive, and seating is available in two different layouts, for six or seven. The Safety Canopy side-curtain airbag system includes a rollover sensor.

04. Acura MDX
The MDX is similar in layout to the Pilot, yet it has a decidedly sportier edge, with a more powerful 300-hp, 3.7-liter V-6, along with the Vehicle Stability Assist system and so-called Super-Handling all-wheel drive, which is oriented toward on-road performance and safety. The side-curtain airbags cover all three rows and have a rollover sensor.

05. Hyundai Santa Fe 산타페
If your family is small but you need the versatility of a sport utility vehicle, the Santa Fe is a good choice. Its small overall dimensions make it easy to park, yet the interior is quite roomy. Electronic stability control is standard, plus roof-mounted side-curtain airbags cover both rows of seating.

06. Subaru Tribeca
The Tribeca is available with either a two-row (five-passenger) or three-row (seven-passenger) layout; all-wheel drive and electronic stability control are standard across the line. Also, the unusual horizontally opposed engine layout is said to help provide a lower center of mass (and thus lower rollover index).

07. Honda CR-V
The compact CR-V has impressive fuel efficiency of up to 27 mpg highway, and it's available in economical front-wheel drive or more all-weather all-wheel drive. In addition to top marks all the way in both major crash-test programs, the CR-V comes with standard stability control and side-curtain bags.

08. Acura RDX
The high-performance RDX is also a good, safe choice for those who are starting a family and want a sporty daily driver. Super Handling all-wheel drive comes with the package, along with electronic stability control and full-length side-curtain bags with a rollover sensor.

09. Subaru Legacy
The Legacy comes either as a traditional sedan or more spacious wagon; all models have all-wheel drive, which helps keep driving in slippery conditions more sure-footed. Side-curtain airbags covering front and rear outboard occupants are also included. Electronic stability control is optional for $300 on the Limited model with automatic transmission.

10. Ford Taurus
The Taurus is back, as a larger, safer, more sophisticated sedan, available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. 11. Mercury Sable
The Sable features optional electronic-stability control; a Safety Canopy side-curtain airbag system is standard. The Sable isn't priced much higher than the Taurus, yet it allows access to superior Lincoln-Mercury dealership service, and it's a great roomy choice for comfortable family road trips.

12. Kia Optima 기아 옵티마
For well under $20,000, the Optima can be well equipped with stability control, anti-lock brakes and a wealth of features. Front-seat-mounted side airbags and full-length side-curtain bags are standard, even on the base model.

13. Hyundai Entourage 현대 앙트라지 (기아 그랜드카니발과 동일 플랫폼)
Offered only in a single, long-wheelbase length, the Entourage minivan comes with seating for seven and, like the Sedona LWB, has an incredible 204.5 cubic feet of total interior space--far more than any of the SUVs in the group. Roof-mounted head-protecting airbags cover all outboard seating positions.

14. GMC Acadia
The Acadia, which was introduced for the 2007 model year, makes its older, truck-based Envoy stablemate nearly redundant in all areas except towing. The Acadia is a much better choice for family duty than the domestic truck-based SUVs; it has a lower, safer rollover index, along with three real rows of seating for either seven or eight.

15. Buick Enclave
The Enclave is mechanically similar to the GMC Acadia and joins the Buick lineup for 2008. Head-curtain airbags provide protection to outboard occupants in all three rows--with two seating configurations for either seven or eight--and also provide rollover protection. The stability control system, called Stabilitrak, includes a "rollover mitigation" feature.
